This year Apicha Community Health Center is excited to mark its 26th anniversary. To celebrate, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, Apicha CHC is hosting our 26th anniversary benefit, A Thousand and One Champions.

We chose the event’s name because there have been countless individuals over the years who have championed our cause, and this year we are honored to recognize four extraordinary people who have helped strengthen our mission to effectively meet the health care needs of New York City’s underserved communities.

What’s sure to be an emotional evening will feature a reception, silent auction, and dinner at New York’s Grand Hyatt ballroom, in addition to the award ceremony.

Continuing Apicha’s Legacy of Care and Advocacy

The patient is at the center of everything we do at Apicha CHC and our services cover a wide range of needs, from mental health, care management, insurance enrollment, nutritional education, sexual health, and HIV testing and prevention. Proceeds from the benefit gala are essential to our ability to provide quality services to our clients and patients.

As you know, Apicha CHC provides care to everyone—no matter their ability to pay. As a result, raising private contributions is crucial to help cover some of the costs associated with serving uninsured patients.

Proceeds from Apicha's 26th anniversary benefit gala also help cover a portion of the costs Apicha devotes to advocacy efforts, which bring attention to the unmet needs of the communities we serve to policy makers both locally and nationally.

Whether it’s advocating for change or providing care, helping our communities is at the crux of everything we do.

Apicha's 26th anniversary benefit, A Thousand and One Champions, will be held at 6:00 pm on May 18, 2016, a Wednesday, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. You can purchase your ticket to the event here.
