Join Us: Walk with Apicha CHC at the 2018 AIDS Walk

It's that time of year again. On Sunday, May 20th, walk with Apicha Community Health Center at the NYC AIDS Walk to help raise funds and fight against HIV/AIDS.

The NYC AIDS Walk raises thousands of dollars to help combat HIV and AIDS. Spearheaded in 1986 by the Gay Men's Health Center (GMHC), it is the single largest HIV/AIDS fundraising event in the world, and helps provide vital resources, prevention, care, and advocacy to countless individuals in need.

Why Should you Walk with Us?

Funds raised by the walk benefit organizations involved, like Apicha CHC, and help us provide quality HIV care and prevention.

Apicha CHC's Commitment to the AIDS Walk

Founded in 1989 to address unmet HIV/AIDS-related needs of Asians and Pacific Islanders in New York City, Apicha CHC is deeply entwined in the history of HIV/AIDS activism in and around New York City. Since our founding, we have continued to provide quality health care to underserved and othered people in NYC.

With different programs -- like our LGBTQ+ inclusive primary care, HIV specialty care, our Transgender Healthcare Clinic, PrEP/PEP program, serving homeless and housing-insecure people -- we stand by our promise to respect and value all individuals. We believe that every person deserves access to quality health care and feel comfortable and safe when receiving medical care.

Participating in events like the AIDS Walk New York means a lot to Apicha CHC. We do it every year, giving our staff and patients the opportunity to walk together in the continued fight against HIV/AIDS. Apicha CHC is committed to standing with New York State in ending the HIV epidemic in NYC by 2020. Events like this give NYC the space to unite, raise awareness and funds to continue research, supporting organizations, and continuing to provide care and services to our communities.
