A Call for Short Films …

Immigrant History Week

We are looking for short films with subject matter dealing with immigrant life, food, or health to be shown at APICHA’s hot, new space in Tribeca on April 21, 2007. The Mayor’s Office on Immigrant Affairs has chosen APICHA as one of its partners to celebrate the 4th Immigrant History Week, April 16-22.

Selected films will be showcased as part of APICHA’s interactive program revolving on the theme “Food, Health & Taking a Bite of the Big Apple”. The Asian American Film Lab is co-sponsoring this event. We are expecting over a hundred people to attend the day’s activities including our city’s political leaders, foodies, film buffs, health nuts and of course, just plain folks curious about happenings in our fastest growing immigrant communities. Click here for Entry Form.

If you have a film waiting to be discovered or have a message that needs to be heard, this downtown venue is where you’d want to show it. You’ll get a chance to meet new audiences and network, over servings of hot chai and Asian culinary delights. No submission fee required.

Submission & Screening Format: DVD and VHS

Entry deadline is Monday, April 02, 2007.
