More often than not, the process of going to the doctor is more painful than the visit itself--between finding a time and date that will fit in everyone's schedules, the logistics of actually getting to the doctor's office, and trying to remember everything you were supposed to bring with you, the struggle is real.
To go through that entire process once every three to six months or so can feel overwhelming. Not to mention going through all of that every time you want to ask your doctor a question or get prescription medication refilled just feels like pouring salt on the wound.
About Apicha CHC's Patient Portal
Some clinics, like Apicha CHC, saw those issues and decided to simplfy things by using a "Patient Portal" to increase communication between patients and primary medical care providers.
Use the Portal To...
Request a Refill of Your Prescription
You can send Apicha CHC a refill request through the Patient Portal. It takes 1 business day to refill a prescription, and up to 3-4 additional business days if a prior authorization is required by your insurance.
To ensure you do not run out of medication, we do recommend that you send us your request at least 5 business days before you run out of medicine.
We specialize in quality medical care for underserved individuals. Request an appointment today!
View and Share Your Patient Records
You can view and share your records anytime via the Patient Portal.
To request a printed copy of your records, fill out a HIPAA form. It can take up to 10 business days for the records to be ready.
Communicate With Your Provider
In the Patient Portal, you can send messages to your medical provider with questions or concerns. They may not be comfortable diagnosing any issues without seeing you first, but they may be able to tell you whether the issue can wait until your next appointment to be looked at or if you need to come in sooner.
Please note, it can take up to 24 hours for you to receive a response back, so if you are having a medical emergency you should take immediate action, do not wait for a response from your provider.
While you shouldn't rely on this form of communication for emergencies, it's definitely a good way for you to ask questions about your medication, to request refills, or for other non-emergency medical questions.
You Can Also...
- View your lab results
- Keep track of your appointments
- Receive health reminders
- Request and view any referrals to specialists
