Raymund Sison, MD

Dr. Raymund Sison is the Chief Medical Officer at Apicha Community Health Center. He is Board Certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. As Apicha CHC’s Director of Medicine, he oversees all clinical services provided (medical, pediatric, mental health, dental, OB-Gyn, HIV care and Infectious Diseases), strategizes on future growth and service expansion, spearheads and supervises medical education within the organization and participates in resource allocation and revenue enhancement strategies.

Previously he was the Infectious Diseases Attending Physician at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in New Jersey where he treated patients in the HIV clinic, the Hepatitis clinic, Infectious Diseases (ID) clinic and patients in clinical trials both in the outpatient and inpatient setting. He also served a Clinic Physician at the Asia-Pacific Medical and Diagnostics in Makati City, Philippines and Staff Physician in Orthopedics at Asian Hospital.

Dr. Raymund Sison has won awards for his Clinical Investigation from Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences and the Philippine Neurological Society. His publications have covered Noninvasive Tests for Liver Fibrosis Staging in HIV/HCV Coinfected Patients; HIV-infected women and cervical cancer screenings; Therapy and Intestinal Bleeding; Red Cell Distribution among Critically Ill Patients; Hepatitis A Vaccine Response in Human Immunodeficiency Virus-infected Patients; Incidence of HIV Resistance Mutations in Treatment; AIDS-related Lymphoma; Peripheral Arterial Disease in HIV-Infected Patients; Cervical cancer screening; and the effects of Tuberculosis, Anemia, Enterococcus bacteremia, and Hepatobiliary issues in HIV patients.

He attended University of the Philippines (UP), Manila College of Medicine and graduated magna cum laude from UP Diliman. He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), Infectious Diseases Society of America HIV Medicine Association, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
